Mountain View Hospital, Idaho Falls Community Hospital and their partner clinics are working to recover from a cyberattack on the computer systems Monday morning, according to a recent news release.

The release says the IT team identified the attack quickly and immediately acted to limit the impacts and keep all patient information safe and secure.

Teams are taking steps to resolve the situation. Some clinics will be closed until the hospital feels confident the virus has been fully removed. Idaho Falls Community Hospital will divert ambulances to nearby hospitals, and standard workflows may look different.

Patients will be contacted by their providers if their appointments are impacted.

The release says, "Our commitment to our patients’ well-being remains our top priority. We are safely caring for all of the patients in our hospitals, surgeries are continuing as scheduled, our emergency department remains open and a majority of our clinics are seeing patients as usual."
